| Director Rupp and Pitt PAD officers |
This weekend, members of the Executive Board attended a Phi Alpha Delta Leadership Symposium in Buffalo, NY. The symposium, run by our Director of Pre-Law Operations, Byron Rupp, was a great opportunity for the officers to get a better idea of the direction our PAD chapter should take. We discussed ideas for efficient recruitment, fundraising and programming as well as reviewed PAD policies. It was also an opportunity for the officers to meet other PAD chapter officers and learn how things are done at other schools. Being such a new chapter, we don't have years of tradition to build on, and it was a great opportunity to find out what works at other chapters.
We also met a group of students trying to form their own chapter at the Rochester Institute of Technology and had a chance to tell them about what it's like to found a chapter and the obstacles they'll come across on that journey. We'll talk more about the symposium at our next meeting and feel free to ask any questions you might have.
And it was a hilarious/inspirational experience. I was SO pumped afterward, like 5hr energy, large 7/11 coffee, I'm getting Phi Alpha Delta tattooed to me.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing this wonderful post with us. I hope to see more updates from this group in the near future. Have a great rest if your day and keep up the posts.
